A photo of the oldest mosque in Lagos has got people talking on social media after it was shared on Twitter.
The mosque was founded in 1892 by a Sierra Leonean-born Nigerian, Mohammed Shitta - Nigerians on social media wondered how an old structure like that is still standing strong while modern buildings collapse.
A photo of the oldest mosque in Lagos, Shitta-Bey Mosque, was recently shared on social media by the official Twitter page of the state government.

In 2013, the mosque was designated as a national monument by the Nigerian Commission for Museums and Monuments.
